Nick has a passion for music, having worked as a recording artist himself, releasing several albums and touring internationally. He draws on this experience when advising his music industry clients on all aspects of their business. Those clients include high profile artists, songwriters, labels, publishers, managers, distributors and others. He also advises brands and agencies on rights clearance and strategic issues in relation to their use of music. His entertainment practice also encompasses clients in the film/TV, book publishing and influencer industries.

Nick works with market-leaders in the marketing and communications sector, advising on commercial arrangements between agencies, their clients, suppliers and media owners and providing guidance on compliance and regulatory issues in relation to advertising.

Nick also has a background in the technology sector. He provides legal and commercial advice on the development and monetisation of apps, websites and software, the exploitation, licensing and distribution of content via online platforms and the supply of products and services. He has expertise in software licensing, e-commerce, consumer law and data protection.

Nick was nominated for Artist Lawyer of the Year at the Music Business Worldwide Awards in both 2024 and 2025. He was also named by Legal 500 as a Leading Partner in the Music category and is also ranked in Band 4 in Chambers UK Guide 2026 for Media & Entertainment: Music.
