Simkins advises Universal Music UK on the establishment of new frontline label 0207 Def Jam

Simkins LLP, advised major record label, Universal Music UK, on the establishment of new frontline label 0207 Def Jam with co-Presidents Alec and Alex Boateng.

Alec Boateng joins 0207 Def Jam from Warner Music, where he was co-Head of A&R for Atlantic Records UK.  Alex Boateng moves from his previous role at Universal Music UK as President of Island Records’ first Urban Division.

0207 Def Jam will act as the UK home of Def Jam Recordings, launching in partnership with the New York-based Def Jam label, also part of the Universal Music Group.
