Chambers UK has once again listed Simkins as a leading firm in both the Media & Entertainment and Defamation/Reputation Management sections.

The firm continues to be ranked as a leader in the Media & Entertainment sector and is noted for its “expertise in live events, film and TV, music, publishing and theatre”. Sources commented on the firm’s “carefully considered support and guidance, adding value at every stage of the process.”

Senior Statesman Paddy Grafton Green is noted for his long standing expertise and work in the music sector. Whilst managing partner Euan Lawson is ranked in Band 1 for his non-contentious music work, for which both Ed Baden-Powell and James Harman are also listed as leaders in their field.  Paddy Gardiner’s work in the contentious music sector is recognised with a Band 2 ranking, whilst Jonathan Blair was recognised as a leading individual for his long standing Film & TV expertise.

The Reputation team continues to be listed amongst the leaders in the reputation management sector and is described as “incredibly responsive”. One source saying: “They gave us a good understanding of our legal position, in terms of what we could and couldn’t challenge, and provided a really forensic examination of the allegations made. Simkins did well in really challenging and interrogating those assertions, and were relentless and persistent in fighting their client’s corner”. Head of department Gideon Benaim continues to be ranked in Band 1 for his expertise in the field, with both Jon Oakley and Tom Iverson listed as leading individuals.
