He has advised various employer clients on the full range of Human Resources issues, including employment status, Agency Workers Regulations, preparation of all employment documentation and policies, appointments and terminations, disciplinary issues, grievances, and absence management. Neil also has experience of advising corporate clients on the employment aspects of business transactions, including advice on mergers and acquisitions, outsourcing agreements and the harmonisation of contract terms.
Neil regularly advises employers and employees on contentious employment law situations, including the defence and pursuit of litigation in the Employment Tribunal relating to, amongst other things, unfair dismissal, whistleblowing, discrimination and breach of contract. Neil also has High Court litigation experience relating to the enforcement and defence of restrictive covenants and, specifically, the pursuit of injunctive relief and defence of inducement claims on behalf of employers.
