Emma’s practice area covers media, entertainment and intellectual property litigation, in particular disputes relating to copyright, trade marks, and defamation & privacy. Emma has particular experience of  music litigation having been involved in a number of High Court disputes in relation to the ownership of copyright in sound recordings and musical works. Emma also regularly advises diverse clients on risk management in relation to rights and on resolving disputes without recourse to litigation.

Her clients include photographers, designers, producers and writers who she assists in the protection of their rights. She regularly provides advertising clearance and libel reading. Another specialisation of Emma’s is on the challenges posed by new digital distribution channels including online and mobile platforms and also digital rights management.
