Michael Simkins LLP and Addleshaw Goddard announced today that the Film & Music practice from Addleshaw Goddard, comprising partners Jonathan Blair, Paddy Grafton Green, James Harman and Euan Lawson, together with two associates, will be moving to join Simkins. The date of the move is still to be confirmed but it is expected to take place before 30 April 2006.
Simkins is one of Europe's most respected media and entertainment firms and is unique in its coverage of the spectrum of creative industries. The provision of a specialised and cost-effective service to those industries has become increasingly difficult for large City practices and Addleshaw Goddard has decided that its focus must lie elsewhere. For Michael Simkins LLP, this provides an immediate expansion to 21 fee earners dedicated to media and entertainment work out of a total professional staff of 42 lawyers.
Paddy Grafton Green said that he and the team were delighted to be joining Simkins. "The provision of a full service to clients in the media and entertainment industries requires a rather special approach. We believe that in Simkins we have found the ideal combination of expertise and know-how for our clients, and an excellent working environment."
