Gurpreet is a Partner in the firm’s Disputes Group. A skilled litigator, she has extensive experience across a variety of sectors advising on a broad range of commercial disputes, including High Court injunctions, for both corporates and high-net-worth individuals.
Having worked in the City for 8 years before joining the firm in 2012, Gurpreet’s areas of expertise include breach of contract; property litigation; breach of restrictive covenants; professional negligence; partnership and shareholder disputes and injunctions. She has particular experience in dealing with cases in the High Court, County Courts and Tribunals and has been involved in a number of mediations.
Gurpreet has litigated many disputes through to trial including successfully acting for the largest landowner in the Leicester Square and Piccadilly Circus corridor in the recent case of Criterion Buildings Ltd -v- McKinsey & Co Inc [2021] in respect of a High Court claim for service charge arrears of over £2.2 million. Other notable cases include acting for a number of tenants in respect of their claims following the Grenfell tragedy, as well as representing a French distribution company concerning a dispute over rights to distribute the release of a highly popular television series.
Gurpreet prides herself on giving careful thought to her clients’ commercial needs and is often described as being “extremely approachable” and “a skilled litigator with the ability to take a commercial approach to litigation”.
